By the end of March it will be the Cherry Blossom season. Mid-March is when we decided to hold a seminar beforehand to welcome investors to view the beautiful “Sakura” while also viewing our property supply in Tokyo. After giving a presentation about the market and property, we had the pleasure to engage with the crowd by doing a Q & A corner. Our staff then conducted individual consultations while promoting our Sakura Offer; which would be a reimbursement of the investors flight ticket upon contracting. See the Cherry Blossoms, enjoy Tokyo, and buy property with a free flight ticket. The event was a success.

  • I already had plans to visit Tokyo during the Cherry Blossom festival and since last year I became interested to own a property in Japan. I`m glad I came today because this promotion works out very nicely.
  • I don’t care too much about Cherry Blossoms but I intend to purchase Tokyo property this time. My wife and daughter on the other hand don’t care about property, but will be thrilled when they find out where they are going in 2 weeks.

In Hong Kong
With the high demand from Taiwan, we decided to team up with a Taiwan real estate Agency to have an exclusive property seminar for selected investors. This turned out quite starting off with an introduction to Japan from the Agency, a long presentation about the Tokyo Market and property from Marimo, followed by investors asking which units are available for purchase.

  • I studied in Japan when I was a college student. Now I own a business and am pursuing one of my goals that I set 20 years ago. Which was to invest in Tokyo.
  • I came here with a lot of questions but after listening to the presentation from the Agent and the Developer, I left with more answers than expected. I am going to talk to my family about what I now know.

In Hong Kong

In Shanghai
2016, after the New Year season and the Chinese New Year festivals, we arranged another property event for Hong Kong investors. With more people flowing in compared to last year, the event hall was filled with a lot of power coming from each table. Many investors were strictly talking about business and the fact that they would be visiting Tokyo during the Sakura Season Festival. Several Investors will also take a look at the property that they reserved to purchase. Upon their visit we at Marimo will be waiting for their arrival to show them their future investment.

  • My daughter is living in Tokyo and I figured I should take this chance to understand the whole “Investing in Tokyo” from the professionals. My intention is to purchase an investment so that my daughter has some extra cash during her stay.
  • The Hong Kong property market has been declining since September last year and even though most people are saying that it will increase again, nobody can tell the future. Tokyo on the other hand has been increasing since years ago. I think I found my answer.

In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong
One last visit to Hong Kong before the Christmas and New Year season. We took this time to explain the entire process of how to find the right, safest, and potential investment. There are many things to look for before signing that contract. Location, age of the building, the building management/ repair plan, size/layout, and especially if the price is fit for the property. The attendants understood our presentation and they all felt like they left the seminar with new information, and a new way to look into property investing.

  • This was a very informative seminar. I have talked to a lot of local agents who are selling Japanese properties for very cheap but old property. They all had positive information and outlooks. After joining Marimo`s seminar, I now know about the hidden costs and exactly what to look for when buying a property.
  • I have been attending these seminars and finally told myself, it is time to venture out to Tokyo to find my property.

In Shanghai

In Shanghai
This was our first seminar in Mainland China and we were surprised of the successful outcome. There is a lot of news about China Investors buying property worldwide, and Japan is one of the options. With the Chinese stock market that took a dive a few months back, many people came to our seminar to view and hear about other opportunities on where to put their money. Real Estate is always an option. And in a city that is already mature but going through further development, Tokyo would be the promising platform.

  • Tokyo property was never an interest to me because of the slow price increase. However I had to rethink this thinking after looking at the recent data.
  • I need a place that is stable, easy to tenant, and will be able to sell in the future with no problem. My friends said that old property was better but after going to this seminar, I think I will lay my money in a newer property for future benefits.

In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong
With the high prices of Hong Kong property, many Hong Kong investors are looking for other investment opportunities. Cheaper than Hong Kong, well maintained quality, and a team who could speak Cantonese/ Mandarin/ English. We at Marimo take great pride in what we do to provide the keen investors exactly what they may be looking for. Family type layouts or studio layouts, inner city or outer city, every customer is looking for something different and they need someone to ask questions. Join one of our seminars and get all of your questions answered.

  • I am new to the Tokyo market and I am still studying. But it is very encouraging to talk to real estate professionals. They gave me a lot of input and now I am planning my trip to Tokyo!
  • I was surprised to understand that a Japanese bank was able to finance my investment. I`m glad I came to the seminar to start my 2nd investment.

In Taiwan

In Taiwan
Taiwan investors have always been interested to purchase a property in Japan. For that reason there are currently many agents selling different types of property. However it`s odd to find that many investors are using a Japanese property management company and receiving monthly reports in Japanese. With that said, many investors have no idea of what they are paying for or getting deducted from their monthly income.
During our seminar we received various inquiries about our Property, our English Property Management Service, and if we could manage their already purchased Japan property. Our answer is, it would be our pleasure to become your Property Management Company.

  • I go to Japan all the time and have 2 properties in Osaka and Fukuoka. I think it is time to get my Tokyo property. The 3rd one is always a charm.
  • Who is Marimo? That was my first impression about this company but after attending the seminar. After understanding how big they are, I was surprised that they as a builder and seller, also offer English Property Management. I don’t like being switched over different companies for one item. With Marimo it is easier and my contact person speaks Mandarin which makes it that much easier for me.

In Singapore

In Singapore
Marina Bay Sands, Fireworks, Gardens by the Bay, great food, Entertainment, and of course, Shopping. Singapore is always a place to go and is always a great place to meet new investors who are looking to purchase Tokyo property for several reasons. After our Launch in Jakarta we added a property seminar to exclusive guests who were invited and registered to have a look at our potential project. Although it does seem that the Singapore Investors are a bit “full” when it comes to overseas property investment, a new dish on the table always turns out to be a full course dinner. With our consultation and services, if you would excuse me, being the wine at the table.

  • I have brought myself to become very familiar with Marimo Investments. They always have projects in potential locations.
  • After buying 3 properties in Tokyo from the same company, this seminar was another time to purchase my 4th property from Marimo.
  • With Singapore property being so expensive, the sales consultant informed and showed me that Tokyo is only half price of what Singapore is. Going through a lot of data that was provided about both property markets, I was confident that Minato Ward, Tokyo would be my next investment.

In Jakarta

In Jakarta
The exotic Indonesia. With skyscrapers and a very large population, Indonesia has received focus from other countries around the world. The Indonesia property market is also very successful with most of the investors purchasing real estate within Jakarta and promising local cities nearby for capital appreciation. Since a few years ago those investors have expanded their view towards Real Estate Investment and have moved on to overseas property such as London, Hong Kong, and Australia. Well why not Tokyo? There actually hasn’t been much focus on Tokyo property until we decided to hold an event with the collaboration of DTZ Indonesia to help us launch our project, Artiza Higashi Azabu. This was our first attempt to hold a private seminar in Jakarta with it ending successfully. We will be holding another seminar in Jakarta in the near future.

  • Since the visa going into Japan has become easier, this was a great time to purchase a property in Tokyo as a 2nd home. This way I could explore Tokyo as long as I could and come back to my home in Jakarta, while my property is managed with nothing to worry about.
  • I have admired Tokyo ever since 4 years ago and when I saw the advertisement, I said to myself that this would be the chance to own real estate in my favorite city.
  • My wife and I decided to purchase this property for investment. Later on when my son gets older I would like to send him to Keio University and this property will become his home until he graduates.

In Taiwan

In Taiwan
Aside from Singapore and Hong Kong whom have a lot of interest for Tokyo, Taiwan is also a country with that same interest. There are a few local agents available to help Taiwan investors purchase Tokyo property, but not many Developers like ourselves to provide the extra services straight from the developer to invest in their built property. We saw this as a chance and jumped right into Taiwan to offer consultations on how and why to invest in Tokyo. From this we noticed that Taiwan investors are used to seeing Hong Kong, Singapore, Mainland China, and other Asian investment opportunities as the standard “investment”. Therefore looking at property in Tokyo as a cheaper, yet higher quality, and more efficient long term investment, many investors from Taiwan are now focusing towards Tokyo. Especially because there is a Developer who offers exactly what they want with full assistance to purchase, lease, and resell their investment property. Marimo`s International Sales and Investment Team.

  • To talk to a team who knows what they are talking about and answer all my questions on point, is the people I want to trust when making a big commitment in another country.
  • The properties are so much cheaper and pose to be more potential especially because of the Olympics. I am going to choose a property to start an investment today!
  • For me owning a property in Tokyo is not just for investing. In the future I want my grandchildren to have the advantage to study abroad a Japanese university. Until then my family and I have a 3rd home in Tokyo to use when we visit.

In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong
Hong Kong is always a city with many people keen to invest in Tokyo. The past few years have shown reports of an increase of low priced, older “Studio units” being purchased by Hong Kong investors. However, the word among the HK agents is that there has not been a lot of success stories with those investments. Marimo has teamed up with Century 21 to bring information and comparison details of brand new property versus second hand property. Giving insights with reasons why brand new property is overall better, we feel there will be a shift in the type of property that Hong Kong investors will be looking at towards the future. At this time we also offered 3 varieties of Tokyo property that Marimo and Century 21 both feel are potential investments with the rising Tokyo market.

  • 2 years ago I bought a second hand property with good numbers regarding yield and pricing. Unfortunately I had a very hard time leasing it out and am having a hard time selling it. Marimo and Century 21 has given me the reasons to why I am having a hard time, along with tax information and other details to help me in the future when I am ready to purchase another property.
  • The seminar and consultation was done mainly in Chinese which made me feel comfortable with pursuing a property with Marimo and Century 21.
  • Most people want a property in Tokyo. This seminar brought me to understand that a cheaper property is not always the best choice, along with what details to look for regarding the potentiality. And ofcourse, helping me get around Tokyo when I plan to visit next month to view their properties.

In Singapore

In Singapore
We chose to offer another property, the Artessimo Prima, to Singapore investors with talks of the Japan Real Estate Market and comparisons during our private seminar. Due to the location and standard single bedroom that would be easier to lease and resell rather than a family size unit, investors were very keen to Marimo`s way/method of investing into Tokyo, and the property supply. With the help of CKS and UOB Bank, who offer Japan property financing, this was another success to add to the books.

  • I have heard about the potential of Chuo Ward and this property that comes with a river 1 minute away is something more than the ordinary property in Tokyo.
  • I learned a lot of Tokyo property and the difference between different Wards. I am keen to purchase either this property, or something Marimo could offer once I have gone over all details.
  • A river walkway, access to subway stations, an airport transit bus terminal, and everyday shopping. This is exactly what I was looking for as a 2nd home in Tokyo. Easy access in and around Asia`s main metropolis.

Singapore is the second country for use to sell our Artiza Higashi Ginza. So rather than entering an Expo, we decided to conduct our own Private Seminar. With the increase in Investors looking to purchase property in Tokyo, we were there at the right time to offer exactly what they were looking for. Low Risk, Long Term Investments focused on Capital Gain.
